Okay, so now it's personal.

After spending some time traveling, I decided to put this site together for friends and family to enjoy. Really it's just an electronic account and photo album of my travels. The more I think about, it's probably as close as I'll get to a real scrapbook, though that might have been easier. Now, armed with a digital camera, and a CD burner, who knows how it will grow. Maybe a little, maybe a lot, but enjoy it at your own pace so that you don't have to sit through the slideshow when I get back.

The traveling will continue, eventually, so you can come back from time to time to see where else I've been. I've already started working on a list of places that would make good vacation spots in the future -- no, really, just a vacation this time, no big plans for an extended stay unless I win the lottery.

I was thinking ... you often hear of people traveling in search of enlightenment. I couldn't help putting in some words of wisdom. You can decide if they are profound or not.

Life can be understood only by looking backward, but lived only by looking forward.
